Kiam Seymour

LCSWA

Sometimes you know something needs to change before you know exactly what to call it. You may be tired of overthinking, carrying stress you don’t talk about, struggling in your relationships, or noticing that things from your past are still showing up in your life.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before coming to therapy.

I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself—not somewhere you have to say the “right” thing or have all the answers. We’ll make sense of what you’ve been carrying, look at the patterns that keep showing up, and figure out what you want to keep, change, heal, or unlearn. That language comes directly from how Kiam describes what she wants clients to gain from therapy.

My style is warm, conversational, and honest. There may be laughter, hard conversations, and times when I challenge you to look at something differently. You don’t have to perform here. Come as you are, and we’ll work from there.

My Therapeutic Techniques and Specialties

I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship and family concerns, identity, and major life transitions, with a particular interest in men’s mental health. I help clients understand the patterns shaping how they think, cope, communicate, and connect—and begin changing the ones that are no longer working.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered and trauma-informed approaches, solution-focused strategies, and emotional regulation skills. Therapy is individualized to you, with a focus on building greater self-awareness, healthier coping and communication, stronger boundaries, and confidence in navigating life beyond therapy.
